Luxury Redefined

The Ghost has become the most successful Rolls-Royce in the company’s history, building sales over the 10-year life of a model added to the portfolio in 2009.That success is the foundation on which the new Ghost is built. Extensive work has been undertaken to get under the skin of the car’s huge appeal and success, and the result is a car improved in every way, one where only the Spirit of Ecstasy and the built-in umbrellas are carried over from the previous model. It’s the most technologically advanced Rolls-Royce yet, designed to meet every need of the most demanding of clients.

Ghost owners have discovered the joy of driving, as well as being driven, and the new 6.75-litre V12 engine has been placed behind the front axle to deliver a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. That engine delivers 563hp and has been developed in line with client desires for near-instant torque and near-silent running.

The Ghost features all-wheel drive for an even more sure-footed experience, and the latest all-wheel steering technology also makes the model even more responsive and manoeuvrable than before. The sumptuous interior is more spacious thanks to an 89mm increase in length and 30mm increase in width, and the advanced comfort levels are further enhanced thanks to a new Planar Suspension System a decade in development that creates a sense of flight never before achieved by a motor car. The system enables the car to anticipate and react to changes in road surface, preparing the suspension system to adjust and create an even more stable and effortless ride.

Comfort and Elegance

While self-closing doors have been enjoyed by Rolls-Royce clients for many years, Ghost drivers and passengers can for the first time enjoy doors that open with powered assistance, and close automatically.

Once inside the Ghost, occupants will be in the most technically advanced motor car Rolls-Royce has ever produced. For the driver, a wealth of safety systems includes night-time pedestrian and wildlife warning, self-park, a four-camera system offering panoramic, all-round and helicopter view of the car and an industry-leading head-up display, while passengers can make the most of the latest infotainment system and built-in wifi for work or recreation.

Whether driver or passenger, occupants will enjoy Rolls-Royce engineers’ pursuit of acoustic perfection, which became a platform for the bespoke audio system featuring 18 speakers and a resonance chamber in the body’s sill section that essentially transfers the car into a subwoofer.

As well as technological excellence, the cabin boasts the finest leather, wood and metal to create an environment defined by simplicity and elegance. The automotive industry’s most exhaustive checks ensure that each of the 338 leather panels used across the cabin are of the highest quality, mirroring the painstaking and unwavering approach that makes the Ghost a peerless ownership experience.
