Aston Martin has revealed the new Vanquish Volante, establishing a new benchmark as the fastest and most powerful front-engine convertible in the world. This extraordinary new flagship celebrates 60 years of Aston Martin’s iconic Volante nameplate, combining breathtaking performance with uncompromised luxury and beauty.
Powered by Aston Martin’s formidable 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, delivering 835PS and 1,000Nm of torque, the Vanquish Volante achieves a top speed of 214mph and accelerates from 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds.
“For 60 years, Aston Martin Volantes have defined the art of elegant, sporting, open-top motoring,” said Adrian Hallmark, Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer. “With its stunning looks and outstanding V12 engine producing more power than any other front-engine production car on sale, Vanquish Volante has taken this philosophy to an entirely new level.”
Despite its significant performance increase, the Vanquish Volante weighs just 95kg more than its predecessor, raising the power-to-weight ratio from 313hp per tonne to an impressive 416hp per tonne. The car benefits from extensive chassis optimisation, with Bilstein DTX dampers providing outstanding wheel control across all drive modes. Body structure enhancements deliver a 75% increase in lateral stiffness compared to the previous flagship convertible.
The elegantly proportioned exterior features F1-inspired thermos louvres in the dramatically sloping bonnet, while a traditional vaned grille offers 13% more surface area to feed the powerful V12 engine. The sophisticated K-fold roof can be operated in just 14 seconds at speeds up to 31mph and offers thermal insulation comparable to the coupé, with a class-leading stack height of just 260mm when retracted.
Inside, the Vanquish Volante’s bespoke interior combines the latest technology with tactile luxury. A 10.25″ TFT driver display and 10.25″ Pure Black touchscreen with full online connectivity are complemented by precisely engineered physical controls. A 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system comes standard, expertly tuned for the convertible environment.
As expected from Aston Martin’s flagship model, the customisation possibilities are virtually limitless, with extensive exterior and interior colour and material options available through standard channels. For more discerning clients, Q by Aston Martin offers truly bespoke personalisation from subtle details to completely unique components.
The Vanquish Volante is available to order now with first deliveries expected in Q3 2025. Production will remain exclusive, contributing to the total Vanquish allocation of fewer than 1,000 cars annually.
